The Manchester Evening News report on our taking the Labour members of the Planning Committee to the Standards Board. It relates to Chorlton Meadows and the Labour team delivering letters within an hour of the decision.
I briefly spoke at Full Council on the matter last week. Obviously, I am glad that the meadows plans would have been rejected(had they not been withdrawn), but it can’t operate behind closed doors. There can’t be any impropriety on Planning matters.
Please follow this link to view the plans and let Trafford Council know your views on the subject.

There are a couple of things worth checking out for my peace of mind, but, unless those are issues, a fairly uncontroversial week in Chorlton.
Local group Keep Chorlton Interesting met last week to discuss the upcoming consultation and redevelopment of the district centre.
They are concerned the voices of ordinary Chorlton people will not be heard over the din of developers greed and it is a concern that worries me too.
They and other groups like the Civic Society and Beech Rd Traders want to be involved in shaping the consultation.
